Abstract

This article challenges the claim of Western European philosophy to occupy an exclusive and unparalleled position in the universal philosophical field, exposing the logical insufficiency of such a claim. It proposes a critical analysis based
on the theory of interrelational networks, with emphasis on the logical structures of Buddhism, especially in the Chinese and Indian Madhyamaka tradition, and in the Chinese and Tibetan Geluk school. It argues that philosophy emerges universally
as a response to the human condition of impermanence, suffering and finitude, and is not a privilege of Hellenic culture. It examines the historical relationship between philosophical and religious thought, demonstrating the interdependence
between Buddhist philosophy and traditions such as the Greek and Chinese. It refutes the logical notion of the purity and autonomy of Western philosophy by highlighting historical dialogues with Eastern traditions, as attested in texts such
as the Milindapañhā and the treatises of Nāgārjuna. The Hegelian reification of philosophy is criticized as the bearer of a logical notion that approaches revealed logic, and an interrelational and critical conception of philosophy as a network
in interdependent flux of complementary rationalities is defended. The Buddhist philosophical tradition, with its argumentative and hermeneutic methods, is presented as a model of autonomous and anti-reifying rationality, in flux with contemporary philosophical demands. The text concludes that philosophy is not an atomized entity exclusive to Europe, but rather an expression of human cognition in response to the fundamental structures of existence.
