Abstract

This article aims to present a concept of ethics in Ailton Krenak’s philosophy. I think this ethics in the writings of this philosopher in the paradoxical perspective of an ancestral ethics. I start from your thinking that invites us to rethink the concept of western humanity and their lifestyles. It is perceived that his ethics search in the past to update the ancestral ways of life of the original peoples that still exist and resist in the Americas and in the world. What I call ancestral ethics in Ailton Krenak is his proposal of thought and action based on his criticism of Western values in which merchandise is worth more than life. In exposing this ethics, we seek to present the power of Krenak’s thought and its consequences in the construction of a better world.
