Observations on the environmental issue from the perspective of ecological psychology

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the environmental issue from the point of view of ecological psychology. In this way, to analyze the environmental crisis means questioning the levels of relationship between humans and the environment, especially considering the relationship with other living organisms and non-human animals. Thus, the ecological psychology suggests a way of reconsideration the relationship between human being and environment, enabling an alternative view of the relationship
with environment of which is participant, distancing from the understanding that the environment is an available resource to be explored until its exhaustion.
