Abstract

In this text we refer to the problem of questioning about the functioning
and patterns of recognition intersubjective in human social relations. To this end,
we take Axel Honneth’s critical theoretical thinking for this analysis by articulating
his tripartite structuring of moral motivations in the struggles for recognition. I
focus on his work “Struggle for Recognition: the moral grammar of social conflicts”
in his second part in his fifth point concerning the standards of intersubjective
recognition. Thus, I study the three spheres of recognition, namely those of love,
law and solidarity as patterns of intersubjective, normative and historical relations
concerning the moral grammar of social conflicts in Western modernity.

Keywords: Moral structure; social relations; struggle for recognition.
