Abstract

According to Nietzsche, in order to understand it, it is necessary to listen to it, to listen to it carefully. A recommendation that initially seems strange, as his philosophy is recorded in the form of books, but which is considered in a very special way by Jacques Derrida, when he proposed to listen to the philosopher from Weimar, in view of the sound signs left by him in his writings and especially in his supposedly autobiographical account, Ecce homo, which is considered by the interpreter, thus, not so much for what would be evident in it, but for its performative character. Through an otobiographical exercise, Derrida points out, in the midst of the reports recorded in the analyzed book, signs that reveal the plurality where an unwary reader could seek the uniqueness of the author who performs an exposition of himself in
the text. In this way, Derrida deconstructs the idea of the identity of an author who would place himself before the text and control it, presenting, in its place, the thesis that there is not exactly a line separating the author’s work. The corpus of the body.
