Abstract

This article aims to analyze the reception of Nietzsche’s philosophy in the film Dias de Nietzsche em Turim, by Júlio Bressane. Having this work by the filmmaker as the most representative for a study of the reception of Nietzsche’s philosophy in Brazilian cinema, not because it directly addresses the life and thought of the
German philosopher, but above all because it translates philosophical concepts into images, this work seeks, in the first place, present the methodological resource that it considers most suitable for a study of philosophical reception. Second, it intends to scrutinize the way Bressane carries out her translation and the theoretical references that guide her undertaking, trying to point to what would be the main objective of
the film in question, that is, the filling of a certain lack.
