About the Journal

Presentation

Organized by the Neokantianism and Philosophy of Culture Research Group (CNPq) and the ANPOF’s eponymous WG, Simbólica – Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Interdisciplinary Studies aims to be a periodical publication that gives expression to this field of philosophy that, in recent decades, has emerged as having great potential both for philosophy itself and for interdisciplinary studies related to it.

Having as its starting point the Philosophy of Culture promoted by the Neokantian movement, often in dialogue with other philosophical currents of its time (especially Phenomenology and Philosophy of Life), Simbólica does not intend to limit itself only to this movement or to this historical period, but rather seeks to give space to the various thematizations of culture in philosophical and interdisciplinary investigations. Thus, Simbólica aims both at the historiographical work of philosophy and at contemporary discussions around culture.
